Position Summary:

The Account Executive is responsible for managing the day to day wholesale initiatives for select customers including distributors, drop ship retailers, online pureplay accounts, brick and mortar retailers, and in some cases television retailers. This includes managing inventory, forecasting sales and margin, creating sales presentations, and managing and submitting product data. This position requires data analysis and forecasting skills to maintain inventory levels and optimize inventory turn, sales opportunities, and obsolescence. The Account Executive is also responsible for creating sales proposals for presentation to internal management as well as external Buyer partners.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Creatively and effectively champion the awareness and growth of C&C brands by working closely with wholesale retail and/or distributor accounts
  • Work closely with management as well as collaboratively with cross-functional partners in Operations, Merchandising, Marketing, IT and Customer Service to deliver all wholesale initiatives
  • Work autonomously with selected accounts to strengthen partnerships and increase revenue and margins
  • Build strong relationships and loyalty across customer base
  • Prepare sales proposals, promotional opportunities including co-op programs, and key item presentations and present to key retail partners
  • Set up new products in customer portals and worksheets to ensure integrity of product data
  • Review partner contracts and understand partner requirements
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop communication, training, and support programs designed to educate customers and drive sales
  • Manage project lists for new sales initiatives and work with cross-functional teams to ensure deliverables
  • Prepare and provide bi-weekly/monthly sales reports by division and individual business unit levels; present to cross-functional teams and executives as required
  • Provide recommendations for new items, sell down, and inventory disposition
  • Collaborate with marketing to create collateral for customers to support sales initiatives, including print, digital, video, etc. support
  • Provide training via phone, video conference, or in-person as needed to select partners
  • Work with Finance to ensure wholesale pricing models reflect and achieve markup, markdown, gross margin, and obsolescence plans
  • Collaborate with management to develop seasonal financial plans and forecasts for the division and individual business units
  • Serve as a brand ambassador with new and existing customers at local and national trade shows, special events, trunk shows, or other events featuring our brand and our products

Qualifications

  • A collaborative individual who thrives working both independently and within a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, strong editing skills with polished presentation skills
  • Someone who is flexible, dependable and has a willingness to learn and share best practices
  • Experience in wholesale sales to retail customers; jewelry preferred

Accountabilities & Performance Measures

  • Meet or exceed the quarterly and annual revenue and margin goals for portfolio of customers
  • Achieve all retail partner SLAs including fulfillment rates, lead times, customer response time, and all other customer scorecard metrics
  • Request and share partner forecasts to provide visibility to Finance and Operations quarterly
  • Deliver all other assigned corporate goals designed to grow the company as a whole, both with customers and product offerings, as well as with programs designed to help us operate more efficiently

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree merchandising, marketing, e-commerce, or related field
  • 2-4 years of experience in wholesale and/or retail sales
  • Previous jewelry sales experience preferred
