Position Summary
The Manager will support Charles and Colvard’s growing domestic and international e-commerce business. The ideal candidate will have a strong logistics background with experience in e-commerce and omnichannel operations. Beyond supporting the actual parcel shipping operations, the Manager is dedicated to creating an outstanding customer experience by providing reliable carrier solutions, multiple delivery options, and excellent visibility. In addition, you would be responsible for developing a streamlined and cost-efficient inbound freight logistics from our factories to our warehouse. With this position, you will manage inventory of all order fulfillment supplies using min/max reports and automated replenishment orders (boxes, marketing inserts, bags, and warehouse supplies, etc.).This position reports directly to the Director of Operations Production Control.
We are looking for an ambitious and self-driven Logistics expert. As an E-commerce Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for planning, implementing and managing our shipping and distribution strategy. Your main duty will be to ensure secure, accurate, timely and productive shipping processes.
Accountabilities & Performance Measures
- Identify freight savings opportunities, implement process changes, and measure and report results
- Identify problems and implement resolutions in a timely fashion
- Display a working knowledge of small parcel carrier rates and services and leverage knowledge to properly support the business
- Hold service providers accountable for performance by challenging appropriately and effectively
- Perform intermediate cost and process analysis and leverage results to make key decisions
- Support international business growth by establishing new and creative delivery solutions in an ever-changing e-commerce customer climate
- Serve as the primary logistics contact for the e-commerce and omni-channel divisions regarding all carrier related business needs (e.g. service issues, reporting, data analysis, etc.)
- Lead meetings with the e-commerce business partners and service providers to drive results
- Develop integrated expenses analyses, reports and presentations to identify exceptions and trends
- Lead process improvements within transportation, DC operations and e-commerce
- Support IT system development and implementation as needed
- Make a positive impact on the business by keeping expense management and customer experience at the forefront of decision making
- Work with senior management in evaluating and selecting service providers
- Ensure receiving, pick/pack, and shipping is properly maintained, including an audit trail, insurance and documentation needed for regulatory customs requirements
- Maintain visual management boards and required Supply Chain metrics to support key performance goals for the company, as well as providing a satisfying and rewarding work environment for employees
- Perform, with team support, cycle counts as needed to assure inventory accuracy and maintain data integrity
- Lead the team to maintain a professional level of organization and housekeeping of warehouse and surrounding areas
- This position will be required as a job function to go through a metal detector before entering and after exiting the PC area

Education and Experience
- BA in Business, Manufacturing, Engineering or equivalent experience
- 4 – 6 years supervisory experience in a fast-paced warehousing or production environment
- 2-3 years in a shipping or logistics role
- Warehouse experience a plus

Responsible for the direction and supervision of shipping specialist.
